Droplet generation microfluidics permits one to produce highly monodispersed droplets of very small volumes (μL to fL) of fluids with high frequency (up to hundreds of kHz), providing better control of processes like mixing, encapsulation, sorting, and sensing. Microfluidic chip used for droplet have many diverse and varied applications, such as particle synthesis and chemical analysis, but also enable single-cell analysis or drug testing.
